BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Aimée Bell, Co-President, is a deputy editor of Vanity Fair magazine, where she has been an editor for more than 15 years. She received a master’s degree in English from New York University after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross.

Sara Goodman, Co-President, is a graduate of the Dalton School and Vassar College. Sara taught at St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn and owned and operated LIMBO, a coffee house in the East Village. She was the executive director and a founder of The New York Women’s Film Festival.

Laurie Roth, Vice President , has developed and taught the dance curriculum at Trevor Day School for 16 years and currently chairs its performing arts department. She has a B.F.A. from Purchase College and is pursuing her master’s degree at NYU.

Libby McCabe, Secretary is a graduate of Duke University and Harvard Law School. She began her legal career as a mergers-and-acquisitions attorney at Baker Botts. Subsequently, she was on the founding team of Axiom Legal Solutions and Vivre, Inc.

Marri Davis, Treasurer, is a graduate of Bennington College and NYU’s joint program with the International Center of Photography. Marri taught photography at the Town School and NYU, and is currently pursuing a master’s in educational psychology at NYU.

Pamela Bell is a founding partner of Kate Spade Inc., where she oversaw production, licensing, e-commerce, retail, sales, and the Jack Spade men’s business from 1993 until 2007. Pamela attended the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Sheila Kearney Davidson is executive vice president and chief legal officer of New York Life Insurance Company. Sheila received her B.A. from Fairfield University and her J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

Phelim Dolan worked at MTV and directed TV commercials. He graduated from Brown University.

David Gould is the chief financial officer of Regent Media. David has a B.A. from Duke University in Public Policy Studies and Economics, and a M.B.A in finance and a M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Chicago. He has worked in Costa Rica, Sao Paulo, London and New York. David and his wife Elizabeth, a dermatologist, live in Soho with their two children.

Jill Hanekamp is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Emory University School of Law. Jill works as a staff attorney in the Pro Se Office of the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.

Gerrity Lansing graduated from Duke University. He is the managing partner of Madison Trading, LLC, an investment firm.

Caryn Levitt worked for more than 12 years on an effort to promote women’s reproductive health and rights in Africa. She received a B.A. from the University of Chicago and did graduate work in Urban Planning at NYU.

Skip Mattoon, Ph.D. is the executive director of the Eight Schools Association. He is the former head of the Hotchkiss School and served as dean of faculty and associate headmaster at Deerfield Academy.

Jonathan Marvel is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Graduate School of Design. Jonathan is a founding partner of Rogers Marvel Architects and also teaches at the GSD and Parsons.

Sarah Paley is a writer for television and film. She is pursuing a master’s degree in poetry from The New School.

Jim Reynolds is the head of the upper school of the Browning School. Jim worked as a journalist for more than 20 years at magazines such as Time, Sports Illustrated, and Money. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Brooklyn College.

Dick Robinson is president and chief executive officer of Scholastic, Inc. Dick graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College. He also studied at St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge University, and at Columbia University’s Teachers College.

Robert Savage was born in Youngstown, Ohio, graduated from Youngstown State University, with a B.F.A. in 1976 and received an M.A. from Goddard College in Vermont in 1978.  Since 1987 he and his wife, designer Nanette Lepore, have operated a manufacturing and retail enterprise. Robert has two children and lives in Greenwich Village.

Jodi Sweetbaum Carse studied child psychology and communications at the University of Buffalo. She is the president/managing director of Lloyd + Co., an advertising and design firm.


Together, the board has more than 30 children in the following schools: Concord Academy, Grace Church School, First Presbyterian Church Nursery School, Marymount, P.S. 3, P.S. 41, Salk School of Science, St. Anne’s, St. Luke’s, Trinity, Village Community School, and Washington Market School.
